Payment & Insurance

Financial Arrangements

Our goal is to provide the best possible care for patients at a reasonable expense. The treatment we provide is of exceptional quality. However, without proper homecare, even the best work will fail prematurely. We partner with our clients to achieve a high level of oral health to maximize the longevity of treatment completed and to minimize their future needs.

We all have issues or concerns that pertain to our dental health, whether it be a broken filling or a new smile. We offer a wide range of payment options to enable our patients to address those issues and to achieve the smile they have always dreamed of.

Cash, check, or major credit card payment are accepted at the time of service.

To make paying for your dental care easy and convenient, we also participate with CareCredit Financing. Qualified patients can receive low and no interest financing with monthly payments to suit your personal budget. Complete an online application and get started today.

Dental Insurance

The majority of our patients have dental insurance. We work closely with each patient to maximize their insurance coverage. As a courtesy, we file all claims for services rendered. The professional treatment you receive at Dr. Sheen’s office is rendered to you, not to your insurance company. Please understand that your insurance policy is a contract strictly between you and your insurance company.

Typically, the insurance company will pay our office directly. In these cases, unless other arrangements had been made, you would be responsible balance at the time of service. However, there are insurance companies that will pay the patient rather than the treating dentist.

If your insurance company pays you directly, then it is your responsibility to pay at the time of service, unless other arrangements have been made. Regardless of your insurance coverage, we will file all the claims and paperwork necessary to ensure that you receive the maximum benefit allowed.

Do You Take My Insurance?

The majority of our patients have some form of dental insurance. There are two types of dental insurance – traditional indemnity insurance and managed care insurance. Traditional indemnity insurance is the type of insurance that allows you to go to any dentist of your choice. HMO’s, PPO’s (Preferred Provider Option) and DMO’s (Dental Managed Care Option) are examples of managed care plans.

Managed care plans require that you go to a dentist that is listed on the plan or that is “in network”. However, several of these plans do permit you to go to an office that is “out-of-network”. We are one of those out-of-network offices. Regardless of your plan, We do file all claims for services rendered. When you call to schedule an appointment, please have your insurance information available so we can address any questions that might arise.

Dental Appointments

In today’s busy world, time is valuable. We respect our patient’s time and make every effort not to waste it. Our goal is avoid having you wait when you arrive for your scheduled appointment. In exchange, we ask that our patients respect our time.

We ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Should you need to change your appointment, we ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice. This allows us to offer the time to another patient in need of services.
